Our team completed a deck resurfacing project for a homeowner in Hartland, Wisconsin, on Lake Keesus. The goal was to refresh the existing deck while staying within a defined budget and maintaining the original layout. The homeowner wanted an updated look and improved surface durability without the cost of a full rebuild.
Existing Conditions and Assessment

Scope of Work
To update the deck, we refaced the existing framing with TimberTech PVC Decking in Reclaimed Chestnut. This material provided a consistent, finished surface designed to perform well in Wisconsin’s changing weather conditions. We also installed Azek composite railing, which helped clean up the perimeter of the deck and give the space a more complete, uniform appearance.
The deck’s overall footprint and layout remained unchanged. This preserved the way the deck connects to the home and overlooks the surrounding landscape near the lake.
